Our constitution is our governing document, outlining our purpose, and the rules and structure that guide how we operate as an incorporated society.
About DPA's constitution
The current DPA constitution was approved by members at a Special General Meeting on 18 October 2025.
DPA's objectives are outlined in the constitution, and includes:
- Rangatiratanga Leadership
To lead in reflecting the collective voice of disabled people, locally, nationally and internationally - Pārongo me te tohutohu Information and advice
To inform and advise on policies impacting on the lives of disabled people - Kōkiri Advocacy
To support disabled people to have a voice, including a collective voice, in society - Aroturuki Monitoring
To monitor and give feedback on existing laws, policies, and practices about and relevant to disabled people.
