Christchurch: International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Come and Celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Waitaha Regional Leadership Group, Enabling Good Lives, Disabled Persons Assembly and Aspire Canterbury would like you to join us for this relaxed community event led by the Waitaha Regional Leadership Group.

It will be an afternoon of connection, creativity, and fun.

Where: Christchurch Multicultural Centre, Hagley Ave, Christchurch
When: Wednesday 3rd December
Time: 4pm to 6pm

What’s happening on the day:

  • Pizza Station – warm, easy kai to enjoy together.
  • Make-Your-Own Mocktail Bar – follow a simple recipe to shake up something refreshing.
  • Carnival-Style Games – light-hearted fun for all ages.
  • Chill Out Zone – soft seating, quiet space, unwind as you need.
  • Zine Making Station – craft your thoughts, art, or messages for the year ahead.
  • Origami Santa Making – simple, hands-on festive creativity.
  • Photo Booth – capture a moment with friends or whānau.

Everyone is welcome to this free event so come along, connect, celebrate, and enjoy a supportive and inclusive space.

Parking and NZSL Interpreters will be available
