Purpose
DPA supports ban of non-essential vehicles on beaches for the safety of disability community
Summary of DPA submission
While supporting dune protection, DPA requests exemptions for mobility equipment like all-terrain wheelchairs to ensure disabled people can access the coast. They highlight the success of beach matting in other regions.
Implement beach matting to ensure the disabled community has equitable access to local shores.
